Just today, I had someone ask me about the use of autoresponders in one’s business. Many years ago I would not have suggested an autoresponder or even known how to explain to you what one was, but now I use them successfully in my business and therefore realize their importance. I would encourage you to give them a try in your business as well. They can allow you to do so much without having to put forth a lot of effort or work multiple times.
An autoresponder is one way to work once and reap the benefits of that work again and again. Create one set of messages and use them to mail to subscribers for years to come, without having to go back into your email system weekly to mail something out to your readers. Having an autoresponder work in your business allows you to set it up once and benefit from it hundreds, even thousands of times.
So, what options are there for autoresponders to use in your business? My favorite autoresponder / email management system is Aweber hands down. I love its features, its ease of use and the cost as well. It’s affordable and does everything I need it to do in my business. It integrates with several of the available shopping carts allowing it to do more for you.
There are other options out there as well, several include Mailchimp, free for up to 2000 subscribers, and 1 Shopping Cart, also known as KickStart Cart, which is not only a autoresponder but a shopping cart as well. An important part of any business is communication with your clients or potential clients as well as building a list of those an autoresponder can help you to do this, get signed up with one today. Don’t hesitate they really aren’t as scary as they sound.

Great topic for a blog post! I use Get Response and I agree that autoresponders are an excellent time-saving tool for your business.
I used autoresponders in my real estate business and they really were a great way for me to keep in touch with my prospects. I now use them in my online biz and couldn’t be happier. I use Aweber and 1shopping. They both ROCK!
Hey Martha I too used autoresponders when I was in the Real Estate lending industry. Newsletters, postcards, announcements, and even birthday notes were all set up on autoresonder. I continue to use them in my consulting business and clients think I have a large company!
I personally use iContact and have stayed with them now for the last 4 years. But I have heard that Aweber and Constant Contact are really good platforms too.

Great options for using an autoresponder system. I use Mailchimp, and love it but recently, I also added AWeber to my training options and am trying it on a trial basis since last week. I like their forms, their customer service and their marketing.

Thanks for the great post. I think an autoresponder is an essential part of EVERY businesses success kit, even if you are a traditional “brick and mortar” business.
And, after experiencing most of the autoresponders out there, I agree that Aweber is the best. Great support. Great tutorials. And even “newbies” can figure out how to use it. And they have beautiful sign up forms.
